I have a degree in photography and sculpture.
Occasionally, I would have an opportunity to use that creativity and knowledge in the course of my job.
For 8 years, I ran a small publishing company with a focus on the production and marketing of niche publications. We also coached people and organizations on the publishing process (Here are some of our titles).
I either did all of the interior and cover design, or worked with the authors and artists throughout the process. One of my goals was to include the stakeholders in every aspect of publishing and make the process more transparent. I've done my share of traditional ads as well, mostly for trade journals and as examples for brand evolution.
With a heavy emphasis on managing conference and trade show events, I've been responsible for concept, design, and execution of the many commucation vehicles involved. Not only were these materials product oriented, I've also worked as part of the booth design team, and directed the aquisition of additional presentation opportunities.

Photography and Photoshopped images… one of my first loves. I started with a 110 camera I found in the attic when I was eight and never stopped. Of course the Photoshop love came much later. Oddly enough, I do most of my image capture and manipulation on my iPhone...
